The cost-share is $4,700 for Reduced Half-time members (serving 675 hours), $6,200 for Half-time members (serving 900 hours), and $8,700 for Three-quarters-time members (serving 1200 hours).

The cost-share is a requirement, so that we can ensure we can pay our member's stipends. We understand that these costs are not feasible for every organization and are actively working to mitigate that barrier.

The main focus of member's services should be capacity building, meaning more behind the scenes planning and systems creation. That being said, we understand that nonprofits often need an extra helping hand. If members need to spend 10 minutes at the reception desk to cover a lunch break, that is fine, but the majority of their work should be dedicated to their capacity building project.

Capacity building is defined as the process of developing and strengthening the skills, instincts, abilities, processes, and resources that organizations and communities need to survive, adapt, and thrive in a fast-changing world. Capacity building falls into one of five domains: Leadership Capacity, Management and Operations Capacity, Service Capacity, Community Engagement Capacity, and Evaluative Capacity.

We want this to be a collaborative process. The Thriving Utah team has tracking documents to communicate with members about how their projects are going and what support they need, and we hope to meet with them at least every other month for a professional development training. Your organization will select a Site Supervisor who can support the member on a day to day basis and who will be able to answer questions about your organization
